Financing Botox gel is the future of plastic surgery – Dysport -Revance -

April 1st, 2010

Non-invasive treatments like Botox and Restylane are all the rage! In 2009 surgical procedures fell by 17% while non surgical producers rose 1%. Is this due to the economy or are people wanting less drastic remedies for their aging bodies?

With our downed economy, people are searching for plastic surgery procedures  that will leave them with as little down time as possible. The costs of scalpel surgeries are high as well.

The upcoming future of cosmetic procedures and  plastic surgery will heavily involve  non-invasive techniques  Stem cells, new types of Botox,  and the fat from patients being used for procedure such as breast augmentation.

Calming muscles without needles! No more injecting Botox with needles!
In April of 2009 (FDA) approved Dysport, a structure of botulinum toxin, that for some doctors has confirmed to be somewhat more attractive than the old support of Botox.

Dysport seems to be as effective as Botox and it costs about $75 less than Botox per treatment.

One product experts are very thrilled about is Revance’s topical form of botulinum toxin. The gel would be applied by a physician on the skin, so you don’t have to worry about those crazy needle pricks anymore. It is currently in clinical trials and is being studied for and underarm sweat and crow’s feet. If all the testing works out Revance could apply to the FDA in about a year and a half.

Great strides are being made in the field of plastic surgery these days! It’s an exciting time.
